Welcome Lucia Ingram!
Congratulations to the Ingram family of Guschetneuk on the arrival of gorgeous Lucia born 27th May. It's wonderful to see new life in the village.
Village Barbecue
Below are some photos of the Village Barbecue held on 6th May 2023. It was lovely to welcome new families, in particular Bobbie and Craig May of Ardshian ; Jennifer and James McEarlean from Powis House and Bill and Gail Clark from Cardona. Many thanks to David Beechey for sharing his photos from the evening.
Walking Group
Although small, the group is beautifully formed of like-minded villages who enjoy walking in the local area. We often cover the Blair circuit and University grounds via the west field, as well as Menstrie and Alva. We have also enjoyed a trip to the Macrobert for a performance of The Marriage of Figaro live from The Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Also, we recently enjoyed the gastronomic delights of 'Sardinia Meets Scotland Supper Club' in Edinburgh. If you would like to join our merry band of walkers/gastronomes do get in touch by return of email.

Open Archives
If you are new to the community, you may not know about Blairlogie Archives situated in Crow Steps, East Lane. As Village Archivist I intend to hold several Open Evenings where families or individuals can inspect the photographs and stories about their homes. There are many photographs of houses and residents as well as census returns for some houses. Unfortunately, it is often difficult to determine which house many of the census returns refers to. Any photographs or documents about the individual’s home can be scanned and sent to the owner (within copyright limitations).
To arrange a viewing, please phone Craig Bryce at 07821 539 426 or email me: craig_bryce@hotmail.com to arrange a convenient time. (Day or evening slots are available)
